brewer and chase - "jokes for birds"

Chase was a student at my school and graduated last year. He and one of his friends had a "band", which was basically just vocals and a guitar. They write all of their own stuff, mostly mellow pop. It's pretty good considering their experience. It's not something I listen to all that much, but I'm still glad I bought it.
